Confidants

As of September 2022, EFR has appointed two internal confidants. They are here for all EFR members in case they want to share or discuss something in confidence. The confidants have followed a specially tailored training for this role and speak both Dutch or English. Below, you will find their role and responsibilities, but also the authority of a confidant.

  • Firstly, everything you share with one of our confidants is strictly confidential, and the confidant will never share it with anyone else without your explicit permission.
  • Secondly, the confidants offer mainly a listening ear. Further action will only be taken by the confidant if explicit consent was given.
  • Lastly, the confidant will consider and discuss all possible consequences of possible actions together with you. It is important to note that the confidant is independent. This entails that they are not involved in any investigation.

Meet our confidants

Dani van der Eijk

Hi everyone, I’m excited to introduce myself as one of your trust persons for this academic year! My name is Dani van der Eijk, and I’m here to support you throughout your time with our study association.

A bit about me: outside of my studies, I enjoy working out, cooking, and partying. My involvement in various student associations, committees and events has given me a deep appreciation for our community, which is why I’m committed to helping create a safe and supportive environment for all of you.

As a trust person, I’m here to provide a listening ear, whether you’re dealing with academic stress, personal issues, or just need to talk. Everything will be kept confidential, and no concern is too big or small. If you ever need support or guidance, feel free to contact me via email or stop by our office. I’m always happy to arrange a private meeting if that’s more comfortable for you.

Roos van Heuveln

Hi, I am Roos van Heuveln, this years IT & Strategy officer of the EFR board. Outside of the office I like to party, see my friends and play fieldhockey.

As a confidant I'm here to offer a confidential, non-judgmental space for anyone who needs support. Whether you're dealing with personal challenges, academic stress, or issues within the association, you can come to me. My role is to listen, offer advice if needed, and help point you toward the right resources.

If you're ever feeling overwhelmed or just need someone to talk to, don’t hesitate to reach out. Your well-being matters, and I'm here to help in any way I can.

Sofie Schokking

I am Sofie Schokking, and this year I will be the Marketing and Wellbeing Officer of the EFR board.

Whether you need assistance or just someone to talk to, I am just a message away. Everything we discuss is strictly confidential, be it related to EFR matters or personal issues. I understand that navigating through the various support channels at the university can be a maze, and I am here to be the bridge between you and the help you seek.

No concern is too small or too significant. Whether it's a minor issue or a major challenge, I am dedicated to providing a listening ear and support. If you feel the need to talk, don't hesitate to reach out.
