Christian Stevens

My name is Christian Stevens and I am 22 years old. This year, I have
the privilege of serving as the Master Officer on the 62nd EFR Board.
I was born and raised in Dordrecht, but after finishing high school, I
felt the urge to broaden my horizons and challenge myself in a new
environment. That decision brought me to Rotterdam, where I began my
studies at Erasmus School of Economics.

Currently, I am pursuing a double degree in Economics and Philosophy—a
combination that allows me to not only understand the mechanics of the
economy but also reflect on the broader questions that shape our
society. During my time at university, I realized that personal
development goes far beyond the lecture halls, which led me to get
involved with EFR.

My EFR journey started with the Inspiration Days committee, where I
had the opportunity to contribute to one of our flagship events, aimed
at inspiring students through interaction with leading figures from
various industries. Being part of that team taught me the value of
collaboration, creativity, and commitment—qualities I hope to carry
forward into this board year.

As Master Officer, I will be responsible for guiding the full-time
Master Career Week committee, the EFR Involve Consultancy committee,
and the Master Study Boards. The Master Career Week offers students
the chance to connect with top-tier employers through exclusive
recruitment events and sector-specific bootcamps. The EFR Involve
Consultancy committee, on the other hand, works closely with an NGO on
an impactful research project, including a field research trip abroad.
The Master Study Boards focus on organizing both social and
career-oriented events tailored to specific master programs, making
sure every master student feels supported and engaged.

In addition to these responsibilities, I am also overseeing EFR’s
sustainability, diversity, and inclusion policy this year. These
topics are more than just buzzwords—they are essential principles that
shape the culture of our association and the way we engage with
students, partners, and the broader academic community. I’m committed
to ensuring that EFR continues to grow as an open, inclusive, and
forward-thinking environment for everyone

I’m incredibly excited for the year ahead—a year full of challenges,
growth, and unforgettable experiences. Outside of my academic and
board responsibilities, I enjoy reading, engaging in philosophical
discussions, exploring new places, and spending quality time with
friends.
