Mandy Nieuwdorp

Hi Everyone! My name is Mandy Nieuwdorp, and I am the Marketing Officer & Vice-President of the 61st EFR Board.

My EFR journey began during my first year as an Economics student, enjoying all the parties and trips EFR organised. The real journey, however, started in my second year when I joined the Ski Trip Committee. We organised an amazing ski trip to Les Deux Alpes, France, where we were responsible for 100 students. Last year, I was part of the Activities Committee. One of our highlights was organising the EFR/EenVandaag election debate at Ahoy, which attracted almost 2,000 students. After that we also planned a city trip to Berlin. These experiences taught me a lot and made me want to organize more events for our members, which led me to apply for a board year.

As the Marketing Officer, my primary responsibility is to build and maintain the EFR brand identity. My main goal is to keep EFR’s image fresh and in line with current trends. I work on creating marketing strategies that make EFR stand strong against other associations and get to bring my creative ideas to life using tools like Adobe and Canvas. I also supervise the Marketing Committee and collaborate with the marketing officers from Erasmus Recruitment and the EFR Master Career Week to brainstorm about marketing strategies and keep everything on brand.

Besides being the Marketing Officer, I am also the Vice-President. My focus is on supporting the President and our team in every way possible.  Part of my role also includes managing EFR’s non-commercial contacts.

In addition to these responsibilities, I supervise the Women in Business Committee. I believe it is important to inspire young women, especially given the underrepresentation of females in specific positions within certain fields. Furthermore, I supervise the Eurekaweek Committee, which organises the vibrant introduction week for new students. This week is always a lot of fun, it’s a time for new students to connect, discover, and start their Erasmus journey, and it is a joy to be a part of such an exciting experience.
