Hi everyone! I am Casper Pijnenburg, 21 years old, and currently serving as the Bachelor Officer of the 61st EFR Board. I was born and raised in Haarlem. After high school, I decided to move to Rotterdam to study Economics and Business Economics. Three years later, I am part of the EFR Board and planning to finish my bachelor’s degree this year.
Besides being part of the board, I enjoy playing sports such as hockey, golf, running, and cycling. Furthermore, I love traveling and spending time with friends. My journey at EFR began in 2022 when I joined the ski trip to Risoul. During that trip, I made many new friends, whom I still see almost every day.
The year after the ski trip, I decided to join the Ski Trip Committee and organise the trip together with the team. During that year, I gained a lot of organisational skills and experienced what it’s like to be responsible for a large group. After the great success of the Ski Trip Committee, I became part of the Activities Committee. This year started with the legendary EFR/EenVandaag Election Debate in Ahoy, which was attended by almost 2,000 students. During the event, we were responsible for ensuring that everything ran smoothly. Besides that, we organised a city trip to Berlin, which was really fun. This year encouraged me to apply for the 61st board.
As Bachelor Officer, I have the pleasure and responsibility of supervising six committees. Together, we organise events for bachelor students, such as MUNROT, study trips, and ski trips. Additionally, I am responsible for the facilities EFR offers regarding education, such as summaries and book sales.
I enjoy working with all the committee members and the board, and I am looking forward to organising many amazing events this year!
