Hi everyone! My name is Roos van Heuveln, and I am the IT & Strategy Officer of the 61st EFR Board, as well as the confidant. Originally, I am from the east of the Netherlands, but the past four years I have made Rotterdam my home. This summer, I completed my bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Economics, with an exchange semester in Athens as one of the highlights of my studies. Alongside my studies, I have pursued extracurricular activities, working as a student interim in finance and participating in several EFR committees.
My first EFR experience was one of the few events held during the initial year of covid, paintball. The following year, I joined my first committee, the Ski Trip Committee, and we had an amazing time in Risoul, where I made great lasting friendships. After that, I joined the H5 Committee, where we organised various events, including a gala. It was amazing to see everyone dressed up and celebrating together. Then, I joined the Wellbeing Committee, which focused on lifting students’ spirits. Each committee experience taught me valuable skills and helped me develop as an individual. EFR has been a welcoming community that I truly enjoy being a part of.
As the IT & Strategy Officer, I oversee EFR’s strategy, IT systems, and data structures. This includes everything from maintaining the website to managing passwords and Google Drives for all committees. Additionally, I contribute to the strategic planning for EFR and the flagship events. This year is particularly special, as we celebrate EFR’s 100th anniversary. I am excited to play a role in shaping the foundation for future anniversaries. In addition to these responsibilities, I supervise the IT Officers of Master Career Week and Erasmus Recruitment. Alongside this, I also oversee four committees, the Party Crew, Wellbeing Committee, Data Committee, and Strategy Committee.
